When we started representing LaCie in Ireland 23 years ago their product line-up was SCSI (and Mac-centric) external storage devices. Hard drives, SyQuest drives, tape back-up and later CD Writers, some of the first DVD drives and magneto-optical drives.
Since then, their focus has been on delivering quality storage on all platforms and has seen them partner with with world-famous designers to deliver beautiful products. It's their engineering however that makes LaCie stand out from the crowd generally being the first to deliver new technologies into the hands of users - Firewire; USB 2 and recently Thurnderbolt and USB 3.0 - all along time before their competition.
